what age is approaite for females to wear thongs to beaches?

ok im 16 years old and all of my friends where thongs when we go to swim at beaches and public swimming pools and my parents forbid i wear that dont you think im old enough to wear them?

4. I mean, as long as you are reasonable about wearing them, I don't see the problem with wearing one...but you have to be careful too. Your parents are only wanting to help you out by keeping you safe from things that are unreasonable and irresponsible. What's the rush to wear them, anyways? They're just a fad, nothing much to them. :) Better safe than sorry, but I believe you are old enough. 16 seems to be a right age.
5. How do you know that your friends parents are even aware of what their daughters are wearing? They could be sneaking those thongs on and their parents don't have a clue. I think you need to be at least 18 if not 21. When you've got your own place and are supporting yourself, you can wear what ever you want. Trust. ';-()
6. I don't really find thongs very attractive, your friends need to figure that out. Men like normal bikini's.
7. 16. Wear it. What does being a "minor" have to do with her wearing or not wearing a normal swimsuit. A thong/g-string is "normal". It's the closed-minded, uptight, bible-thumping American people who are the only ones who have any problem with them.
8. 16 is ok , but it would nice to wear them at 18
